About Me

I’m a Games Design student focussed on systems and level design. I graduated with a first grade BSc in Game Design at Manchester Metropolitan University in July 2026.

My personal focus is in Unity2D but I have experience in Unreal Engine 5. My time at MMU has given me experience in Maya, Excel, Figma and Substance Painter. In my third year, I’ve been practising expanding my art skills outside of 3D by learning pixel art and have led a team as a sprint planner in Jira.

An area I want to look into more is merging level design and gameplay design to improve immersion and flow for player journeys. I’m a gameplay first, narrative design second kind of person but believe that a narrative journeys can be developed through the type of action players are expected to do, even in the most granular of cases. Research for my dissertation has given me incredible insights into how players respond to usability and affordances in level challenges and I discovered that guiding players with intention through the games mechanics opens them to more of their own satisfying discovery journeys.

On the side, I’m currently planning out my own TTRPG campaign using the CAIN game system and designing a pirate-themed worker placement game in space. Some of my favourite video games are Return of the Obra Dinn, Deep Rock Galactic and Powerwash Simulator. My favourite board games are Spots, Love Letter and Lords of Waterdeep.
